When it comes to people who want to help themselves, Oakam is very
happy to help out too. So when we were approached by Norlington
School to help with their fundraising calendar we were more than
happy to help share the production costs.
The calendar was produced by a team of Year 11 students as part of a work related learning project. The talented students were responsible for deciding on the theme of the calendar, the overall design, taking the photographs and finding the best company to produce the finished product.
We were delighted to help them in the process by arranging meetings with our key marketing staff. But, wisely, a professional photographer was called in to help improve their photographic skills!
The students settled on the theme ‘Our Community’. And all the selected images reflect the beautiful landscape, urban environment and the people of Waltham Forest, all of whom make up a richly diverse, multi-cultural community.
All proceeds from the calendar go to the school who will use the money to buy paint to decorate their Enterprise Stall and tools for their new allotment to help develop new Enterprise projects.
